The Vision of Northgate Music The Music & Performing Arts Department of the Northgate Centre for Global Impact.
Defining Our Mission: The
Northgate Centre for Global Impact (N.C.G.I.) Music
& Performing Arts department is connected to the vision of the
corporate tribe i.e. N.C.G.I. We believe that the clarion call for true
worshippers has been issued in St. John 4:24: God
is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth…. Our desire
is to always please the Father’s heart through our worship (lives). Our hearts
are set on pilgrimage and we constantly change and upgrade with the present
emphasis of the Holy Spirit i.e. “present truth”. We consider our role as an
integral and imperative arm of the corporate vision of the Northgate tribe.
Our vision
is global as it relates to worship and we have an extended arm to the Music
department known as The Caribbean Praise Network. The Caribbean Praise Network
was founded by our Senior Elder, Wesley Boynes and through this medium the Lord
has used us to impact lives in the Caribbean and Europe through the area of
Worship. The days of
singing and playing because one has a talent and wants to launch a career on
stage “showing off” during worship, has become obsolete. We earnestly
believe that in order to express the heart of God through worship we have to be
accurately positioned or aligned to lead the people into purposeful activity
that produces lives pleasing to God that results in ‘true worship” We consider
ourselves co-labourers with our Senior Elder, Wesley Boynes. We capture the
essence of his teachings and formulate songs to help empower the culture of the
Northgate community as we lead them into purposeful worship. As our Senior Elder
seeks to build the kingdom culture in our community, we assist in making the
process joyful and interesting with songs that encapsulate his teachings. It is
a fact that people will remember a song much more easily than a “teaching”,
and so we are committed to speeding up the process to the finish at whatever
cost or effort is demanded or required of us. We have a
divine mandate to raise up “Worshipping Intercessors”. Worshipping
Intercessors perceive and discern the spiritual conditions of the moment. They
sensitize the hearts of the people to the mood or moods of the Holy Spirit and
must be able to lead or guide the corporate assembly into militant or aggressive
as well as passionate worship. We
constantly and progressively upgrade because we believe that church (as we know
it), is changing and individuals have to change in order to be a part of what
God is doing on the face of the earth. We are constantly in the forefront and
there is no greater way to lead than being an example. Our revelation of the
Lord has to be progressive, and spiritual momentum increases when we engage in
and lead people into worship that declares the Majesty, Sovereignty and
Rulership of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship is not centered on the devil and his doings, but on the character and nature of Christ and what He is seeking to build in His church for each phase or season of our purposeful lives to bring on the finish.
Immediate
plans for the Future: -
The power to summon skill and talented ones and engage them in a process
of discipleship and training that will result in them becoming refined and
skillful warrior psalmists or governmental worship leaders (G.W.L). -
The power to send out those warrior psalmists all over the globe. We have
determined in our hearts that the God of the nations must be praised in newer,
fresher, creative and more powerful ways. -
The power and ability to develop the Northgate Music and performing Arts
ministry at all levels and dimensions. Including: financially, spiritually,
numerically, and creatively. -
The power to network on a global level with other music and performing
arts departments of like mind. |
|
The
Northgate Music Ministry will be engaged in the following Five
Key Development Initiatives. -
This is a strong mentoring program aimed at activating psalmists for the
work of the ministry. -
Those who want to be trained and activated must attend and work with the
Northgate Music Department for a three month or six month program which can be
extended or shortened based on the rate of development of trainees. -
This program is being developed by the senior elder in consultations with
the Holy Spirit and other key and proven persons in the relevant areas. -
Aimed at exposing, updating and imparting to worship leaders, the
principles of Governmental Worship. -
Also used to facilitate the development of relationship with other
ministries, ministers and individuals. -
To be used as an avenue to expose others to the apostolic reformation. -
To
facilitate the impartation of grace and reproducing of the ministries of
anointed psalmists. -
To facilitate ‘spiritual invasions’ in conjunction with specially
trained and developed prayer teams. -
To facilitate networking initiatives. -
To be a practical experience for those enlisted for Psalmist Activation. -
These tours will be preceded by Training Camps if possible. -
The Northgate music and performing arts ministry aims to be multi-lingual
as much as possible. -
Our ministry teams, productions, songs and recordings will reflect this
objective. -
Multi - lingual praise events, tours and productions etc. will be
conducted.
-
To facilitate the celebration of core values and present truth. -
To facilitate the use of the fine arts in kingdom expression. -
To incorporate a time of training and spiritual refreshing with physical
rest and relaxation in the beautiful tourist resort of Ocho Rios.

Recording
Project: We believe
that we have tapped into a Divine Resource at Northgate through our Senior Elder
who has encouraged us to do various recordings with the powerful songs that the
Lord continues to give to us during our corporate and private time of devotion
to Him. The first
one ‘Let’s Change, It’s Worth It’ was recently release on January 1st,
2003. This is a powerful journey in song and music. The producer and musical
arranger is well known Jamaican music personality – Jon Williams. The
pre-release is entitled “It’s Worth It” famously known as “Where
You’re taking me to” has already cut a pathway all around the world. This
song speaks of our future in God being of greater value than our nostalgic
memories. Now it is time for the entire work to be a blessing to you. It has an
additional musical piece done by Jon Williams.

"Lets Change It's Worth It" N.C.G.I. has been particularly graced in the area of music. One of the greatest and most definitive gifts of the tribe of N.C.G.I. is the ability to create music that is relevant to the current season of God. This has its foundation in the fact that our Senior Elder, Wesley Boynes, has been blessed in this area and as a result the community has adapted a similar flavour. Music within the community of N.C.G.I. is created at an alarming rate. Based on this and also the fact that one of the core principles that permeates the environs of N.C.G.I. is (APR) Aggressive Personal Responsibility, we have strategically directed that aspect of our resources into fueling the forceful advance of the Kingdom. The "Lets Change-It's Worth It" compact disc is the first to be produced by the Northgate praise team and to us, this is a stepping stone into a dimension of music that we will be deliberately exploiting and fashioning in order to propel the Kingdom of God into every realm of earthly life. |

Philosophy
behind “Let’s Change – It’s Worth It” The history behind the songs on this album is simple. It was brought on by our acceptance of the Present Reformation that the Global church is now experiencing. Before we started on this journey with God – that we now encapsulate in songs – we all had a profound sense that there was a lot we were about to discover. Wow!!! What a journey of discovery and change it has been so far. We came to the realization that this present emphasis is not external but is based on an internal position, which requires aggressive personal responsibility. It was (and still is) a time of confronting issues in our lives in ways we have never done before; a time of perceiving the character of God that has inspired awe, intimacy and obedience. Throughout the ages, God has always used the medium of music to cement His principles and concepts into the hearts and minds of His people. This strategy is being employed in the present reformation of God. Northgate Music is absolutely committed to creating a vessel with the required capacity to contain, produce and manage new songs of declaration, strength, accuracy and excellence, which God desires to pour out in this time of apostolic reformation in the church. It is our ardent prayer that the frequency that touched, influenced and changed our lives as we sang these songs, would enter into your lives also.

The Core Values of “Let’s Change – It’s
Worth It” Throughout the ages, God has always used the medium of music to cement His principles and concepts into the hearts and minds of His people. Obviously this strategy is being employed in the present reformation move of God. The reformation message is redefining every aspect of the church including the performing arts and musical dimensions. There must be a release of songs which reflect the new spiritual frequency that has been released. Northgate Music is absolutely committed to creating a vessel with the required capacity to contain produce and manage new songs of declaration, strength, accuracy and excellence which God desires to pour out in this time of apostolic reformation in the church. This is the heart and core value behind the production of “Let’s Change, It’s Worth It”. The release of this album (the first of many) is a testimony of a very, very difficult period, not only for me but also for the music ministry and the entire Northgate Family. It is a testimony of the commitment, loyalty and purity of heart of the members of the music ministry. It is a testimony of a time when the message of the songs was severely tested in the life of the church and in the lives of the members of the music ministry. It is the testimony of a time when we resolutely decided that ‘we have no image to defend, but God to please’. It is a testimony of how God came through for us in a remarkable way. We all learnt the reality of the truth; 'it’s not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit’. I am really grateful to God for His faithfulness. My hope is that the music from this album will be a powerful, spiritual journey that will ultimately be a catalyst of deeper change in your heart, your family, your church and your nation and also an upgrading to a new spiritual frequency and platform of spiritual conduct that is governmental in nature. Special thanks to: The Holy Spirit who has released creativity in our midst that is absolutely supernatural in nature; the apostolic leader, (Dr. Noel Woodroffe) and team of the World Breakthrough Network who God has used to release so many life changing reformation concepts in our church which is the foundation for these songs; the leadership team of NCGI; the precious members of the NCGI who not only supported this project wholeheartedly with their prayers, moral support and finances but it was in the midst of your pure and passionate worship that most of these songs were and is continuing to be birthed. You are a great bunch and the best team players that a leader can hope for. Special mention must be made of the extremely talented and humble team members, singers and songwriters of the Northgate Music team who have contributed in one way or the other. They include Vanessa, Donnalee, Sheryl, Andre, Joy, Claudile, Jewel, Ebanga, Beris, Grace and all the others who helped here and there. God has taken note of your contribution and countless trips to Kingston in the recording of this album. Jon Williams and Almond Productions - Jon we consider you an honorary member of our music department. You have been very generous to us. I would also like to acknowledge the special drumming arrangements which were done by Johnny Clarke. Thanks and Praise. Wesley.
